NZQA Workplace Drug Testing Courses

These are open courses designed to give participants a full and comprehensive understanding of Workplace Drug Testing and the NZQA qualification of a Certified Collector.

URINE DRUG TESTING CERTIFIED COLLECTOR COURSES

The course provide the theory and practical training with assessment of the practical components being an onsite drug screening test and a collection for laboratory testing.

URINE DRUG TESTING as per the AS/NZS 4308:2008 “Procedures for specimen collection and the detection and quantitation of drugs of abuse in urine” 

The courses can also be held as a private course in your workplace or via Zoom/Teams for remote trainings.

Zoom trainings require a course pack to be sent prior to the training day one week prior and pre-course reading to be completed on the training day with practical assessments.

The course pack includes an verified instant drug screening device and the Canterbury Health  Laboratory collection kit with assessment book including Consent Form and Chain of Custody documents.

Refresher Trainings for US25458 and US25511

For remote Online or In-house the refresher training and assessment ensures continued compliance and correct collection and screening procedures to the unit standards is achieved. Review of current policy and procedures and updates on current drug testing and industry standards included in the training. 2-3 hours depending on number of attendees.

These courses are being run by TJC in association with Safety ‘n Action which is a NZQA registered and accredited PTE. TJC has a NZQA approved sub-contracting arrangement with Safety ‘n Action for the delivery and assessment of unit standards, 25458, 25511,32327 and 32328. Safety ,n Action reports the credits on behalf of TJC to NZQA.
Refresher training for these unit standards should be conducted every three years as per industry standards.
